Augustin Herrman labels “The Island” as “Guttins Ile”.  At this time “The Island” was known as “Goddins Island” which became “Goodwins Island.” He even draws 3 lodges of the Manskin Indians living on it. This village or territory could also be just upstream of “the Island” in the “Rice” property or at “Manskin Lodge” farm.
Pamunkey Indians shown as “Pamaomeck.”
