1700 Robert Morden
In 1701 the same Robert Morden names the Pamunkey River as the Manskin River.
He drops the I. for Isle and designates the entire river as Manskin.
Pamunkey Pininsula is shown as “Pimaonack.” This is similar to John Smiths description of Pamunky Country in “General Historie”
“Where this river is divided the Country is called Pamavnkee, and nourisheth neare 300 able men.”
